Mil Pasos instructors are trained professionals who have learned the art of dance internationally and locally in various styles. They introduce authentic and urban culture back into dance while training you for fitness needs. Mil Pasos believes that in diversity there is strenght and builds a community based on the love of dance, music and fitness.

Julie Marouze
Founder & Director - teacher - performer
It's in Paris that Julie starts her dance and music journey at just 5 years old. She keeps on learning in Paris then in Marseille in different styles like Ballet, Modern Jazz, Hip Hop Salsa, and African dance over 25 years. She performs for french artists like Faudel, Nadiya and Sherifa Luna. She gets a college diploma in "Animation, Entertainement & Events managment " (2003) as well as "Personal trainer and Fitness/Dance group class instructor (2012). Certified in Zumba and Body attack she starts teaching fitness classes as well. She also manage for 1 year Mil Paosos in France and collaborate with internationannly know dancers such as Blacko (Hip hop), Juichi (Ballet), Juan Cortes (Flamenco). She pursues her carreer as a teacher and receive more training in Toronto. Get trained as a Latin and Ballroom Instructor at Danceology. She is also part of the few dancers selected to teach Madonna's Addicted to Sweat cardio dance concept at Hard Candy Toronto. Trained by Madonna's trainers : Craig Smith, Nicole Winhoffer, she gets the chance to perform with Madonna herself for the Grand Opening in february 2014.
She now co-owns and runs Mil Pasos Dance and Fitness with her partner Rafael, showing an infinite passion for music, movement, and making people feel good! She teaches and performs in various styles but specialized in Cuban Salsa, Samba, Afro, Zumba and fitness

Rafa Yowbrea
Owner - Teacher - performer
Rafa was born and raised in Cuba. He grew up influenced by Cuban Culture and Music. His interest for music and dance as a child is leading him to get inspired also by international artists such as Michael Jackson, Ne-yo, Usher...He starts training in more Urban styles such as Hip Hop, Break Dancing at the age of 10. He starts training in Capoeira in 2007 and find a true passion for it. As a versatile artist, he also becomes a local singer in Reggaeton and performs as a dancer for various artists such as Laritza Bacallao, La Senorita Dyana between 2010 and 2014. In 2013 he stars working in resorts as a perfomer and as part of the entertainment team. His natural abilities for performing and getting people attention makes him a perfect show man. He leaves on tour around Turkey for 8 months as dancer and Capoeira performer with Steps Production in 2018. It is after moving to Toronto in 2018 that he starts leveling up his training in Latin Dances with Cuban Salsa, as well as working in entertainment for shows with Raiz Capoeira, El Convento Rico...He now co-owns Mil Pasos with his partner Julie and teaches, perfoms various styles but in his specialized in Cuban Salsa, Capeira, and Urban dances.

Nahila Findlay
Teacher - Performer
Nahila began her journey in dance and the performing arts at just 4 years old. With over a decade of experience in dance, theatre, and musical theatre, she has explored styles including Haitian traditional dance, Afro dance, hip-hop, salsa, and tap.
Nahila is excited to begin her journey as a dance instructor at Mil Pasos Dance School, where she will primarily teach Afro dance and Hip-Hop. She hopes to create fun, energetic, and encouraging classes where students can build confidence, express themselves, and discover their own love for dance. Her classes will primarily focus on Afro dance and hip-hop, incorporating rhythm, musicality, movement, choreography, and individual expression. Nahila believes that every dancer has their own unique style, and she encourages her students to embrace their individuality while developing their technique and performance skills. For Nahila, dance is more than movement—it is culture, confidence, creativity, self-expression, and a way to inspire others.
